1. Be Still, and know that I am God. (Psalm 46:10) ...... Ping On's e-mail before Mayne
2. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him (to act). Psalm 37:7..... from a book mark while packing
3. "Be s-t-i-l-l and know.... that I am God"..... Florence' reminder of this favourite song at Mayne.
4. Quiet! Be still! Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. Mark 4:39 ..... my intended sharing last day of Mayne
5. The theology of resting in God .... my devotion headline this morning
When did you last experience "Be still"? What was the outcome?
Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThis summer has been very hectic. Before school starts, I need to take a moment to Be Still...
I find "Be still" a very active command and most difficult lesson to be learnt in discipleship. It demands great Faith in the Lord, self-control not to act according to my own will but to surrender ALL to Him. It sharpens my sensitivity to the Lord's calling and challenges my desire to let go and let God.
ReplyDeleteIn prayerful "Be Still", I left SMSL.
In prayerful "Be Still", I continue to follow His lead ..... to the church of His choice (not mine) and the ministry of His Plan.
My assurance so far has been peace rather than anxiety, joy rather than resentment, warm welcome rather than bitterness.
In quietness and humility, I look ahead with thanksgiving for the opportunity to hear His gentle voice....
And you????
"Pay attention, Job, and listen to me. Be still, I will speak."

4) Through a mediator (others) vv23
Do you listen in on God's counsel?
Do you limit wisdom to yourself? (Job 15:8)
