Words of Comfort

Words of Comfort

1. “Church growth in numbers is strictly the Will and the works of God.
However, it pleases Him greatly that we pray continuously/persistently for
it.”, an encouraging comment I heard last Friday.

2. Romans 8:28
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love
him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Human efforts have limitations, yet with God all things are possible.

3. Ephesians 2:10
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good
works
, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
God’s plan for our lives are perfect, if we trust and obey.

4. Philippians 1:6
“being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it
on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

5. Genesis 1:10
“ ….And God saw that it was good.”
All of God’s creations (we included) are good.

  1. Thank you for the words of comfort.

On the first one (no 1),

"And without faith it is impossible to please God," Hebrews 11:6.

Let and pray and attempt all things for God in faith. Not us but He will accomplish in His time.

  2. “And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved”
    (Acts 2:47)

    Why??????

    Acts 2:42-47
42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles.
44 All the believers were together and had everything in common.
45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.
46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts,
47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.
And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

    Why not?????

    Psalm 127:1
Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain.
Unless the LORD watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.

  3. Deuteronomy 7:13
He will love you and bless you and increase your numbers.

“The goal of the believer is not just to be a Christian but to cultivate an intimate, devoted relationship with the heavenly Father.
God wants you to know Him; to enjoy Him; to live continually in the light of His favor, wisdom and truth.
He desires a genuine relationship with you, His child.
Daily worship and prayer are the spiritual closet where you and the Father are drawn into a personal intimacy.”
