1. "It's not always popular to do what you believe in your heart is right.", Gordon Campbell's resignation on Wednesday.
2. "Humbled Obama seeking common ground."
3. "Japan's leader appears either assertive or incompetent".
What comes to your mind as you read these headline news from Vancouver Sun on November 4, 2010.
How do they relate to your Christian thinking?
What Bible truth relates to similar teachings?
How can you and I apply this to our daily living?
please share....

1. I believe that the hearts of national leaders, Christian or non Christians, are in the hands of our Lord, much like Proverb 21:1,
ReplyDelete"The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, He directs it like a water course wherever he pleases."
2. Any Christian, not just political or Spiritual leaders, can be called by the Lord to speak out in situations to encourage, prophesies, teach and share Bible truths in honour of His name. At those critical moments, we need to speak the Truth in love (Ephesians 16:15) and "simply let your "yes" be "yes" and your "no" be "no". (Matt 5:37)
3. The world is watching .... our actions speak louder than words. However,
"The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at outward appearances but the Lord looks at the heart." (I Samuel 16:7)
Humility is indeed a definite must in leadership quality. I once heard ....
ReplyDelete"The branch that bears most fruits bends the lowest.".
May the Lord humbles us as we are called to serve.
"He must become greater, I must become less."
(John 3:30)
Another leadership quality that Jesus taught by example was the attitude of servant hood when He washed the disciples' feet.
ReplyDeleteThe question to ask when choosing a new church (or staying in the old one) will become "Where does the Lord wants me to serve?" rather than "Which church will best serve our needs?".
May we not be afraid of new challenges, trusting in the Almighty that "All things are possible with Him."
